Nigel Vogwill worked for the Cornwall Rivers Authority for a number of years before moving into the Fish and Seafood retail sector. Meridian Sea Limited was founded in 1997. His wife Andrea has been with the company since 1998 after a long career in Hotel and Catering.
After visiting France Nigel saw a gap in the U.K. Market for quality Seafood Marinades and teamed up with the leading French company Miceli. An exclusive partnership was formed to market and distribute products in the U.K.
Brexit has thrown many obstacles in the way but we now are one of the few companies who have the capacity to import the goods and offer a good sustainable service.
Other producers were brought into the fold including Bord a Bord for Seaweeds and Gastromer for restaurant quality Soups and Sauces. This allowed us to provide a comprehensive range suitable for all market sectors from Wholesalers, Caterers, Food Manufacturers and the Retailer.
